Joseph joined FAIRR in April 2022 as an ESG Analyst working within the FAIRR’s Oceans & Biodiversity Research and Engagements team. In April 2023, he moved to his current role working as an analyst within FAIRR’s Protein Producer Index. His current work focuses assessing and benchmarking companies against FAIRR’s Index methodology, with a focus on Deforestation, Waste and Pollution and companies in the Aquaculture sector.

Recent examples of Joe’s work include FAIRR’s most recent Index report, which covered various themes within the Index such as circularity. He has also played a role in the research and release of FAIRR reports covering a range of topics including regenerative agriculture, waste and pollution in the animal protein sector, and sustainable aquaculture feed.
Experience
Joseph holds a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Global Biodiversity Conservation, both from the University of Sussex. Following University, Joseph spent two years working in the renewable energy sector. Since 2022, he has worked across multiple FAIRR teams and workstreams relating to biodiversity and nature-related risk within the animal protein sector. Most recently, Joseph has undertaken assessments of companies focussing on their risk exposure in relation to deforestation, water use and scarcity and waste and pollution.
