This event is part of the Forestry & Agriculture Investment Summit, which will gather major investors and actors involved in forestry and agriculture to discuss climate-positive investments.
During the session, the panel speakers will address several key points, including the critical perspective that the focus on Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) technologies overlooks the existence of cost-effective solutions already available. They will also highlight how forestry and biodiversity projects provide a viable net-zero solution that must not be overlooked.
Sajeev Mohankumar, Senior Technical Specialist at FAIRR, will speak on FAIRR’s recent report, Tackling the Climate-Nature Nexus. This report emphasises that opportunities and risks within climate and nature are interconnected and must be tackled simultaneously. It shows that nature-based solutions are underutilised and provides investors with information on the varying mitigation potentials, costs and feasibility of different solutions.
