About this event
There is no doubt that interest is growing in plant-based food sector. This momentum has only been reinforced by the success of the Beyond Meat IPO this past May, which now has a market cap of over $10 billion. This excitement in addition to changing consumer preferences around animal welfare issues as well as the growing awareness of the detrimental effects of the meat industry on the environment and biodiversity are creating the perfect climate for a fundamental change in the way we produce food today.
The time is right for investors to engage on the transformation of the protein value chain.
The FAIRR Initiative is delighted to be partnering with VBDO to bring you this timely event which will provide asset managers and asset owners with insights to help identify the risks and opportunities in the sector. Participants will hear from market experts who will share case study examples of how investors and multinationals are transforming the global food system.
We hope you will join us for this interactive workshop on why and how we should influence change towards a more sustainable animal protein sector and whether alternative proteins can be a viable and scalable solution for the future.
Please be noted that this event is for investors. The session will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
