Event Overview
Today, proactive innovation is needed to create environmental and social sustainability. However, innovation can neither be mandated through regulation nor fuelled by extrinsic incentives.
Based on extensive global research on companies “doing well by doing good,” Stewardship Asia Centre (SAC) developed the Steward Leadership framework as a contemporary governance and leadership model to help companies navigate the goals of merging profit with purpose and making sustainability sustainable.
SAC, in partnership with the Singapore Global Network (SGN), will host an interactive session to share different perspectives to enable businesses to marry shareholders’ need for profits with the needs of people and the planet. Speakers will examine the currently popular ESG framework and show how the approach is inadequate in creating effective solutions to address current existential challenges.
Speakers Include:
Rajeev Peshawaria, CEO, SAC
Christine Chow, Board Member, ICGN
The session will be moderated by Erika Susanto, Director of ESG Data & Research, FAIRR Initiative.
