Event Overview
This discussion will feature expert business and NGO speakers exploring how international targets, standards and policies decided at COP27 can help businesses decarbonise complex food supply chains and account for a turbulent natural landscape as global temperatures rise.
Delivering significant emissions reductions from the food and agriculture sector is critical to ensuring that the international community remains on track the 1.5C target in the Paris Agreement. COP27 represents an important moment to make real progress in this area. Speakers will reflect on the summit itself and the UK’s domestic policy, outlining what they need to see from the summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Panellists:
Sofía Condés, Senior Investor Outreach Manager, FAIRR Initiative;
Angela Francis, Director of Policy Solutions, WWF;
Anna Turrell, Sustainability Director, Tesco.
The session will be moderated by Professor Emily Shuckburgh OBE, Honorary President, Aldersgate Group.
