5-Year Celebration Series: AMR — Taking Medicine Off the Menu

Antibiotics-Superbugs-13.jpg

As well as exposing the vulnerabilities of the animal agriculture sector, the COVID-19 pandemic has also highlighted the link between intensive farming and the overuse of antibiotics. With antimicrobial resistance (AMR) drawing greater attention from governments and stakeholders, now is the time to act.

Since our inception, FAIRR has shone a spotlight on this global health threat and committed to addressing this issue via global programmes and initiatives, such as the Investor Action on AMR initiative and the UN General Assembly’s Call to Action on AMR. As we celebrate our five-year anniversary, we reflect on the work that has been done while setting our sights on what more is needed to prevent the next health crisis.

Join us for this lively and insightful discussion where we will explore the ways in which investors can play an active role in the fight against AMR and explore new policies to facilitate these efforts.
