Nicole Hardiman joined FAIRR in November 2024, as our new Stewardship Lead. Nicole will implement and further develop FAIRR's engagement and stewardship strategy, making sure we prioritise outcomes in relation to investor members' investments in the global food industry.

Working at FAIRR

As part of the Thematic Research and Engagement team, Nicole’s goal is to drive impactful and informative company engagements on behalf of FAIRR’s member investors that conform to a high standard of fiduciary stewardship and duty. Nicole works collaboratively with engagement staff to implement and further develop FAIRR’s engagement process, enhance its science-based methodology for company assessment, and develop insights to better understand the critical risks and opportunities associated with current methods of meat, dairy and seafood production. She will also be responsible for the management of the Seafood Traceability and Protein Diversification Engagement projects.

Experience

Nicole joins us from CDP, where she most recently served as the Nature Standards Lead, responsible for coordinating analysis of and alignment with nature-focused standards and frameworks. She has spent the majority of her career in the non-profit industry, working for organisations focused on corporate action on environmental issues and on-the-ground conservation and restoration projects. Nicole has a PhD. in Conservation Biology from the University of Cincinnati in the U.S..
