Joshua joined FAIRR in 2025 as an ESG Analyst Intern in the Research and Engagements team. His work supports the Sustainable Aquaculture and Waste & Pollution engagements, within the Biodiversity workstream.
Working at FAIRR
Joshua supports the Biodiversity team with FAIRR’s Sustainable Aquaculture and Waste & Pollution engagements. For the Sustainable Aquaculture engagement, Joshua prepares an analysis of the impact and performance of feed used by salmon producers. For the Waste & Pollution engagement, Joshua is involved with research into environmental nutrient loss that comes from improper management of animal waste.
Experience
Joshua holds an MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Reading, and a BSc in Mathematics and Biology from Queen’s University. His master’s thesis explored the role of food prices in setting inflation expectations, and his other research experience includes agricultural subsidies and aquacultural systems. He previously worked for a financial startup in Toronto and as an aide to a Canadian Member of Parliament.
