Dana joined FAIRR’s Protein Diversification Engagement team as a Senior ESG Analyst in 2024, building upon her previous experience leveraging this theme from a public policy angle since joining the organisation in 2022. Her work focuses on engaging companies to diversify their protein portfolios in line with climate and nutrition goals.

Dana’s academic training and previous experience engaging with high-level policymakers, philanthropic funders and start-up companies on protein diversification leads well to her new corporate engagement role at FAIRR on this topic. Dana leads the delivery of and supports quantitative and qualitative analysis for the Protein Diversification engagement. This investor-backed engagement encourages large food manufacturers and retailers to diversify their protein portfolios in line with climate and nutrition goals as a key opportunity factor to mitigate material risks. Given her subject-matter expertise and policy experience, Dana also continues to collaborate with FAIRR’s research and policy teams as a subject-matter expert on alternative proteins.
Experience
Dana’s previous role as Senior Policy Officer within the Jeremy Coller Foundation focused upon highlighting protein diversification and novel food technologies as key tools for sustainable food systems transformation within UK, EU and international policies.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Dana worked within UK Government as part of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) on animal health and welfare policy in England.
Dana’s academic training is in the sciences, holding a first-class degree in Chemistry (MChem) and a research MPhil on cell-cultivated leather.
