Emily joined FAIRR in 2024 as an ESG Analyst Intern on the Research & Engagement team within the Biodiversity workstream. Her work focuses on supporting the Waste & Pollution and Aquaculture engagements.
Working at FAIRR
As a part of the Biodiversity team, Emily’s core responsibilities include conducting research and analysis of global pork, poultry and salmon aquaculture producers. Her research and assessments support and facilitate FAIRR-led dialogues between companies and investors on the biodiversity risks and opportunities of nutrient pollution and feed sustainability.
Experience
Emily joined FAIRR with a financial services background, which she developed through her work supporting Global Wealth and Asset Management at Manulife/John Hancock Financial, as well as during her time as a Knowledge Consultant at Sun Life Financial.
Emily has always had a passion for sustainability and generating a lasting, positive impact on the planet. She holds a BA in Sociology from McGill University with minors in Communications and Social Entrepreneurship. During her studies, she strengthened her understanding of social and environmental change, specifically through her research surrounding the social and environmental impacts of large-scale fisheries on coastal communities of eastern Canada.
